Ultimate Finance adopts verifi’s virtual asset inspection platform

verifi has announced a partnership with Ultimate Finance, a UK-based specialist lender, to implement its virtual asset inspection platform across the lender’s asset finance operations.

The collaboration forms part of Ultimate Finance’s ongoing digital transformation strategy, aimed at improving operational efficiency and delivering faster access to funding for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).

Ultimate Finance, known for its relationship-based service model, has in recent years invested in digital tools such as Open Banking and Open Accounting to streamline applications and accelerate lending decisions. The adoption of verifi’s self-certifi platform extends this approach to the asset inspection process — a key step in asset finance.

The technology enables customers, brokers, and dealers to carry out virtual asset inspections, reducing the time required from days to minutes. By using AI-driven verification and multimodal reasoning, the platform provides data-led assessments of asset existence and condition, supporting fraud prevention and informed risk management.

Jonathan Garnett, co-founder of verifi, said: “Ultimate Finance’s reputation for combining tailored, relationship-based lending with a forward-thinking digital approach makes them a perfect partner for us.

“They understand that technology should enhance, not replace, the human element of finance. Our virtual inspection technology directly supports their mission to provide fast, flexible, and high-quality funding solutions.”

Simon Gregory, Head of Operations (Asset Finance) at Ultimate Finance, said: “This collaboration marks a key step forward in our commitment to innovation.

“By integrating verifi’s platform, we’re aiming to significantly boost both the accuracy and efficiency of our asset inspections, which will speed up the process to verify the asset and release funds for asset financing. We’ve been impressed with the smooth implementation of the digital application into our operating procedures and look forward to the continued partnership with the verifi team.”
