Appointments Sponsored by Appointments TLT elects financial services head Andrew Lyon as senior partner Published: 18th June 2025 Share National law firm TLT has announced the election of Andrew Lyon, Partner and Head of Financial Services, as its next Senior Partner. Lyon will begin his three-year term on 1 January 2026, taking over from Sasha Butterworth, who has held the role since 2022. Lyon’s appointment comes at a time of continued expansion for the firm, with a clear mandate to support strategic growth while championing a culture rooted in values, accessibility, and opportunity. He brings with him more than 18 years of experience as a Partner at TLT and a decade of leadership as a member of the firm’s Executive Board. Since joining TLT’s London office in 2007, Lyon has played a transformative role in shaping the firm’s Financial Services Disputes and Investigations team into one of the UK’s largest. He also served as Location Head for the London office for 12 years, helping to establish TLT’s presence in the City as a key player in financial services law. In his current role leading TLT’s Financial Services Sector, Lyon advises some of the country’s foremost banks and financial institutions, earning a reputation for sharp strategic insight and client-first thinking. His promotion reflects both his individual leadership and the firm’s continued commitment to client excellence. Commenting on his appointment, Lyon said: “I feel extremely proud to step into this role at such a pivotal time in the evolution of TLT.
