Simply team takes on Shine Night Walk to support Cancer Research UK

This September, Mike Randall, CEO of Simply Asset Finance, and 16 other members of staff will lace up their walking shoes and join thousands of others in the iconic Shine Night Walk – a night-time walk through the heart of cities across the UK – in support of Cancer Research UK (CRUK).

Taking place on 20th September, the Shine Night Walk is CRUK’s flagship fundraising event, guiding walkers through the illuminated streets past its most famous landmarks, all in the name of raising critical funds for life-saving cancer research.

Simply have a group taking part in both the London and Liverpool events, where their offices are situated, and have staff members taking part in both the 10km and marathon walks.

Mike and the team are no stranger to charitable initiatives. In January, Simply and the asset finance industry collectively raised over £26,000 during the Simply Cup, a challenge that will return in January 2026. But this time, the team are taking on personal challenges – long distances overnight – to help push that total even higher.

Mike hopes that the Shine Night Walk will inspire generous support from colleagues, friends, and the wider asset finance community.

“We do have a chance of smashing our donation total with this initiative and with your kindness,” he added.
