Tee off for charity at AFPA Trust BIG Golf 2025

Golf fans and charity champions, mark your calendars – the AFPA Trust BIG Golf event returns on Thursday 24th July, with even more excitement, competition, and charitable giving than ever before. Hosted on the red course at the iconic Berkshire Golf Club in Ascot, this year’s event promises to be one of the highlights of the asset finance and leasing industry’s social calendar.

Following the overwhelming success of last year’s inaugural event, over 40 industry legends are set to compete in a day filled with sport, networking, and high-stakes fundraising.

The format remains simple but powerful: teams and individuals compete not just for glory, but for significant cash donations to a registered charity of their choice. Prizes include:

£4,000 for 1st place
£2,000 for 2nd place
£1,000 for 3rd place
£750 each for Nearest the Pin, Longest Drive, and the ever-popular Yellow Ball Game

AFPA Trust Chair Robert Taylor summed up the event’s unique appeal, stating: “No other golf day gives players the opportunity to win serious cash for a charity close to their heart. It’s not just about your swing – it’s about making a real difference while having a superb day out.”

The event welcomes both individuals and teams. A team consists of two players, and a traditional 4-ball represents two teams. If you’re solo, the organisers will happily pair you up. Corporate teams already confirmed include returning champions Reward Funding, as well as Novuna, VIP Apps Consulting, Clear Business Finance, LTi Technology Solutions, and The Leasing Foundation.

Not only will participants play one of England’s most celebrated courses – the Red Course, ranked 21st nationally – but they’ll also enjoy full access to practice facilities; a legendary carvery lunch; drinks on the terrace; a recently refurbished clubhouse experience; and the option to bring spectators, who can soak up the atmosphere and indulge in the hospitality

Entry costs £260 per person or £1,040 for a four-person team, with all proceeds going to registered charities selected by the winners. And if your firm is an AFPA Trust Charity Partner, your donation winnings will be bonused, giving your chosen cause an even greater boost.
