Auto Finance Sponsored by Auto Finance News Stellantis surpasses 1.3 million vehicle registrations in EU30 Published: 31st July 2025 Share Stellantis recorded more than 1.3 million vehicle registrations in the EU30 region during the first half of 2025, securing a 17% share of the total car market and reaffirming its position as the second-largest original equipment manufacturer (OEM) in the region. The company also posted notable gains in key segments, including hybrid vehicles and light commercial vehicles (LCVs), despite overall market pressures. Hybrid vehicle sales for Stellantis grew significantly, with the company gaining 4.2 percentage points year-to-date and climbing to the top position in the segment. In LCVs, where the market contracted by 13% year-on-year, Stellantis bucked the trend by increasing its share by 1.4 percentage points to reach nearly 30%, solidifying its segment leadership. The group also reported a 10% increase in order intake compared to the same period in 2024, while simultaneously reducing its inventory by 16%, suggesting improved supply chain management and demand alignment. Regionally, Stellantis remains dominant in several key European markets: France: The company holds close to 30% market share, both overall and in electric vehicles. Peugeot leads the domestic market with a 15.6% share and three models in the top ten: the 208 (#2), 2008 (#5), and E-3008 (#7). Italy: FIAT continues to be the top-selling brand, with the FIAT Panda as the country’s best-selling model. The Jeep® Avenger is the best-selling SUV, and Alfa Romeo Junior tops the premium B-SUV category. Iberian Peninsula: Stellantis retains leadership in Portugal and leads the electric vehicle market in Spain. Germany and the UK: The Opel/Vauxhall Corsa is the top-selling B-segment hatchback in both markets. In the UK, Stellantis dominates the small van segment, with Peugeot, Citroën, and Vauxhall occupying the top three positions. Reflecting on the performance, Jean-Philippe Imparato, Chief Operating Officer for Enlarged Europe at Stellantis, said: “We are delivering commercial results in line with 2024, although our market share has seen a slight decline due to the end of production for some key models. On a positive note, Stellantis is the undisputed leader in the A and B segments, and our order intake is steadily growing.” He added that the group’s order backlog is already 13% higher than at the end of 2024, positioning Stellantis to better weather ongoing market fluctuations. In the first half of 2025, Stellantis introduced 15 new models across 10 brands, including the Citroën C3 Aircross, Opel/Vauxhall Frontera, and FIAT Grande Panda, as part of a concerted push in the competitive B-segment. Additional launches, including the FIAT 500 MHEV and new Jeep® Compass, are expected later in the year.
