Fleet Finance Sponsored by Fleet Finance News Right Fuel Card and Rightcharge form partnership Published: 9th April 2025 Share Right Fuel Card has announced a strategic partnership with Rightcharge to expand its services beyond traditional fuel payments. The collaboration introduces a new system designed to support businesses operating mixed fleets of petrol, diesel, and electric vehicles. Left to right – Matthew Briggs, (CEO of Right Fuel Card) and Charlie Cook (CEO of Rightcharge) Through the partnership, Right Fuel Card now offers a single solution that covers both public EV charging and home charging reimbursements. The public charging card can be used at over 70% of the UK’s charge point networks, giving drivers access to more than 62,000 charging points across 39 providers. The service is supported by the Rightcharge app, which helps drivers find and navigate to available charge points. Home charging is handled through Rightcharge’s integration with energy suppliers and home charging systems. These connections allow for real-time tracking of electricity use and tariff data. The system calculates costs accurately and limits reimbursement to verified work vehicles, helping prevent fraudulent claims. Charging costs are billed directly to the driver’s home energy account, removing the need for out-of-pocket payments and helping to avoid energy debt. For employers, the system simplifies administration. Businesses can receive a monthly invoice that includes all home and public EV charging and is compliant with HMRC requirements. Alternatively, companies can allow drivers to claim expenses using a downloadable report. In addition to payment handling, the platform provides access to a dashboard showing real-time data on charging activity, costs, and carbon emissions. The dashboard also details the sources of electricity used, including wind, solar, nuclear, gas, and biomass. Matthew Briggs, CEO of Right Fuel Card, said: “We’re thrilled to partner with Rightcharge to offer a comprehensive solution that meets the evolving demands of UK businesses. Our expertise in fuel card management and access to over 85% of UK fuel stations, paired with Rightcharge’s innovative approach to EV charging, ensures that whether your fleet runs on diesel, petrol, or electricity, you have the right tools to operate efficiently and sustainably.” Charlie Cook, CEO of Rightcharge, said: “We’re excited that Right Fuel Card has chosen Rightcharge as their EV charging partner. We understand that mixed fleets require a market-leading solution for both EV and fuel as they transition to electric. This partnership is an exciting opportunity to provide fleets with an advanced solution to radically simplify EV charging and fuel payments.” Lisa Laverick Editor - Asset Finance Connect Sign up to our newsletter Featured Stories NewsRightcharge calls for fleet collaboration to unlock EV tariff savings NewsLicence Check adds new fleet features to DAVIS Fleet NewsFleet Alliance discontinues Intelligent Car Leasing brand Fleet Finance
