The AFC Outstanding Achievement Award 2025, sponsored by grenke UK, returns this summer as a central highlight of the Asset Finance Connect (AFC) Summer Awards, taking place on 1st July 2025 at the elegant City Central, within the historic Honourable Artillery Company grounds in London.

This prestigious award is designed to honour a team or individual who, during 2024, demonstrated exceptional success in their role – whether through innovation, impact, leadership, or industry collaboration. The AFC Outstanding Achievement Award presents a unique opportunity for organisations to shine a spotlight on the star performers within their business, or for suppliers to recognise extraordinary talent in their partners’ organisations.

2024’s Outstanding Achievement winners

Last year, the award was proudly shared between The Simply Cup, an industry-first charitable sporting initiative by Simply Asset Finance, and Adam Crockford, a pioneering figure at Novuna Business Finance. Both winners epitomised the award’s core values – impact, innovation, and community spirit.

The Simply Cup: a symbol of unity, charity, and inclusion

The Simply Cup captured hearts and headlines as it claimed the AFC Outstanding Achievement Award in 2024. More than a football tournament, it became a rallying point for the asset finance community. Backed by Mike Randall, CEO of Simply Asset Finance, the Simply Cup was praised for its ambitious goals and its success in promoting inclusivity and raising funds for Cancer Research UK.

“It represents so much more than football; it represents inclusivity, charity, collaboration,” said Randall. “The Simply Cup was a first of its kind… and we hope to see it grow even more.”

The January 2024 event saw 26 industry teams and nearly 200 participants come together in support of CRUK. The inclusion of the Leasing Lionesses and other female players made it a beacon for gender equality in the industry – a lasting legacy that will shape future events.

Adam Crockford: driving innovation at Novuna Business Finance

Equally deserving was Adam Crockford of Novuna Business Finance, whose individual achievements made a significant impact across the organisation and wider industry. Reflecting on his win, Adam said: “This award is not just a personal accolade but a testament to my colleagues and the senior leadership team who provide the environment for individuals to thrive.”

A seasoned expert in project and change management, Adam played a vital role in navigating Consumer Duty regulations, enhancing customer outcomes, and leading automation and AI initiatives within Novuna. His work in the Data Insight and Automation team helped future-proof the company and positioned Novuna as a leader in digital transformation.
