New finance company to support construction industry

Commercial vehicle leasing company Dawsongroup is backing a new finance company focused on construction machinery finance. Dawsongroup Finance, known for its expertise in truck and trailer finance, is now venturing into construction machinery financing in partnership with Steve Moody of SKM Asset Finance.

SKM Asset Finance, owned and operated by Steve Moody, has joined forces with Dawsongroup Finance to launch this new venture, trading as Construction Plant Finance.

This joint venture combines Moody’s extensive experience in the construction finance sector with Dawsongroup’s innovative approach to commercial asset financing, offering an independent and tailored solution for the UK’s construction industry.

Headquartered in Hampshire, Construction Plant Finance is one of the few independent finance companies dedicated solely to the construction plant and equipment sector. With Dawsongroup Finance as the funder, the company operates without ties to banks or manufacturers, ensuring unbiased and flexible financing options for clients.

The UK construction industry is poised for significant growth in 2025, driven by renewed housing targets and increased investment in repair, maintenance, and improvement work.
