The intralogistics and material handling equipment manufacturer achieved 86 out of 100 points in the 2025 evaluation, an improvement of 10 points from the previous year, when it earned a Gold rating. EcoVadis evaluates companies based on environmental performance, labor and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement practices. “EcoVadis Platinum is an outstanding achievement by the KION team,” said Valeria Gargiulo, Chief People & Sustainability Officer at KION GROUP AG. “It confirms that we are on the right track with the implementation of our sustainability strategy across all brands.” The recognition marks a milestone in the company’s sustainability journey, following similar achievements by its brands Linde Material Handling EMEA and STILL EMEA, which both maintained Platinum status in 2025. According to KION, progress in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) reporting, new certifications beyond ISO standards, and continued focus on ethical and sustainable operations contributed to the higher score. “This award recognises the ongoing commitment of our entire workforce to consistently pursue our sustainability goals and improve our performance,” said Matthias Sieber, Vice President of Sustainability & HSE at KION Group. EcoVadis, a global provider of corporate sustainability ratings, evaluates organisations using international CSR standards, including the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and the UN Global Compact. The Platinum rating represents the highest level of recognition awarded by EcoVadis.
