Technology Sponsored by Technology iVendi’s new educational video to be integrated into dealer websites Published: 30th July 2013 Share A new video, designed by iVendi, is to be integrated into dealer websites, promoting the benefits of dealer finance, the company have confirmed. The video is one of the latest in a range produced by iVendi, aiming to explain the key motor finance issues to customers. Together, they are viewed over 6,500 times every month. It will be made available to the more than 1,000 dealers currently using iVendi’s online dealer finance tools such as Quoteware and the Car Finance Checker, which has its own explanatory video, advertising to both the customer and the lender. Car Finance Checker dealer video James Tew, director at iVendi, commented: “One of the issues with making motor finance available online is that dealers do not get the opportunity to explain in detail the advantages of their own finance offering. “We believe that professionally-produced video is key to bridging that gap, especially as research shows customers are more and more open to watching video through their PCs, tablets and smartphones.” In March this year, Ivendi commented that more dealers should be adding video content to their websites due to their numerous applications, most obviously providing a detailed view on both used and new cars, explaining finance and aftersales products. Why Dealer Finance? James Tew added: “Many dealer websites have no video content at all yet internet usage statistics show that more and more people are watching video online, partially as a result of better broadband connection speeds but also because of the development of smartphones and tablet devices. “With the forthcoming emergence of 4G, which will make mobile video a practical reality for many people, demand for online video can only increase and dealers should be thinking about meeting this challenge.” He concluded: “We are starting to see video attached to some used car descriptions but this is something that is still very much in its infancy. Dealers are just getting used to the concept and gearing up to produce footage that has reasonable production values, something that can now be easily done for little cost.” Asset Finance Connect Asset Finance Connect brings you news and updates about UK and European auto, equipment and asset finance providers.
