Haydock renews support for mountain biker through 2025 charity scheme

Haydock Finance has confirmed it will continue supporting professional 4 Cross mountain bike racer Ian Forsyth throughout the 2025 racing season, as part of its employee charity scheme. Forsyth, who is based in Great Harwood, was once again nominated by a Haydock employee, making this the latest chapter in a growing partnership between the rider and the finance company.

The support will help Forsyth compete in both national and international events, including key races on the European 4X circuit.

So far in the 2025 British 4X Championships, he has made a strong start, finishing third in the opening round and securing first place in the second, putting him in a strong position in the national title race.

“I’m incredibly grateful to Haydock Finance for their ongoing support,” Forsyth said. “Their help makes a real difference—particularly when it comes to getting to international races. I feel lucky to have them behind me as I chase my goals this season.”

Haydock’s employee charity scheme allows staff to nominate causes or individuals they feel strongly about, with the company providing direct financial support. Forsyth’s continued nomination reflects his local impact and growing reputation in the sport.

Lea Lawrence, Marketing Manager at Haydock Finance, commented:

“We are delighted to continue supporting Ian in 2025, through our employee charity scheme which is all about empowering our people to aid individuals, initiatives and charities in realising their ambitions. It’s a privilege to help Ian reach new heights on the international stage.”
