The National Association of Commercial Finance Brokers (NACFB) has appointed Charlotte Loomes as its new Operations Director, reinforcing the Association’s leadership team as it continues to expand its membership base and enhance its operational infrastructure.

In her new role, Loomes will work closely with CEO Jim Higginbotham, the NACFB Board, and the wider team to strengthen member services, oversee technology transformation, and optimise operational delivery. A key part of her remit will be to advance the Association’s internal systems and digital capabilities to better support its growing and increasingly engaged network of Members and Patrons.

The appointment comes at a time of sustained growth for the NACFB, which is on track to exceed 1,400 Member broker firms and welcome its 180th Patron lender by the end of 2025 — marking the largest and most diverse community in its history.

Loomes joins the NACFB with a wealth of experience across both the lender and broker sides of the industry. She previously held senior operational roles at Arkle Finance (an NACFB Patron) and Tower Leasing (an NACFB Member firm), where she played a central role in delivering major change and transformation projects. Her earlier career also includes customer-facing positions at Weatherbys Private Bank and Yorkshire/Clydesdale Bank, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the commercial finance ecosystem.

Her arrival coincides with the NACFB’s continued focus on raising professional standards across the intermediary community through the NACFB Assurance Standard.

Commenting on her appointment, Charlotte Loomes said: “I’m delighted to be joining the NACFB at such a pivotal time. Having worked alongside the broker community for many years, I’m passionate about deepening member engagement and driving initiatives that will support the continued growth of our industry. I’m excited to work with Jim and our brilliant team to deliver meaningful value to our Members and Patrons.”

Jim Higginbotham, CEO of the NACFB, added: “Charlotte brings an exceptional pedigree and a proven record of leading transformation and operational excellence across the lending landscape.

“She’s hit the ground running, and her experience across both lender and broker environments will be invaluable as we scale to meet the needs of our expanding community. I’m delighted to welcome her to the senior team at such an exciting time for the Association.”
