Business Development Manager – Vendor Finance – Flexible Location

Our client is fast growing financial services business who have an exciting Business Development opportunity working for an established team within the IT, Telco and soft asset lending sector. You will have responsibility for generating new reseller/vendor partners across the UK working with the account management team who will take up the day-today management of the accounts, leaving you with the ability to continue with your new prospects. They have a very good back office and IT infrastructure which means getting proposals approved and paid out in a market leading time. You will act as a conduit to C Level Stakeholders, know the key players in the market and understand the soft asset technology sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, engage and secure new opportunities in line with the Vendor Growth Strategy
  • Working in partnership with the Director of Technology Finance and existing business development resources, provide field-based support to qualify opportunities, and participate within Business Development activity, to ensure successful onboarding & forward engagement.
  • Take ownership for all new partnership negotiations in collaboration with supporting functions, to ensure that partnership structure is acceptable and realistic.
  • Take ownership of all items which require Vendor participation in respect of operational process or items relating to the partners existing portfolio
  • Act as a conduit to C level stakeholders in partner businesses
  • Negotiate pricing, complete regular partnership reviews, focusing on performance, engagement and ensuring that growth initiatives are agreed and set
  • Ensure that all activity is formally recorded, and all internal systems are up to date (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Identify product and proposition gaps, working closely with Director of Technology Finance and functional stakeholders to enhance capabilities to meet partner expectations and drive growth opportunities
  • Hold regular account performance review sessions with Sales Support, to ensure that all aspects of the relationship are operating at the anticipated levels

This role will suit someone who understands the soft asset leasing sector and enjoys winning new client relationships. Our client may consider someone from within the asset finance sector who has the drive, ambition and professionalism to win you reseller/vendor relationships This is a Business Development / hunter role supported by a Relationship Management team dedicated to managing the ongoing relationships and although you might lead the relationships at inception and renewal we need candidates who are happy with the business development element of the role.
