Conference Asset finance AI use cases assessed at AFC conference Published: 25th October 2024 Share Finalists announced for the Fintech Innovators Session at the AFC UK Autumn Conference on 26th November, London. Asset Finance Connect and Lendscape have today announced the finalists of their dragon’s den style fintech innovators session at the AFC UK Autumn Conference on 26th November at County Hall in London. They are: Max Chmyshuk, founder, thisisjuno.ai Richard Huston, Co-Founder & MD at VAMOS Paul Chong, COO, Ophelos Matthew Elliott, CDO & Co-Founder, Nivo “There is enormous investment going into generative AI and machine learning right now and this is creating tools that fintechs are using to create some really impressive use cases. “These three applications are some of the best we have seen for auto, equipment and asset finance lenders. We are looking forward to hearing their pitches and have some challenging questions lined up to assess their value for industry practitioners,” said Steve Taplin, managing director of Lendscape and head dragon. “New advances in technology can be hard for non-practitioners to judge – particularly when the potential for each can seem so huge,” noted Edward Peck, CEO of Asset Finance Connect. “Generative AI seemed to follow the usual path (with lots of attention earlier this year) – and that died down for a while. But now it’s back in force – and this time the promises seem to me to be much more than the usual hype. What these systems can do seems genuinely to be surprising even the most hardened of sceptic AI specialists. I am looking forward to hearing what Steve and his team of dragons have to say about these solutions which we have identified and asked him to test”. The AFC Fintech Innovators session will take place on the afternoon of the 26th November at the AFC conference in London. Each finalist will pitch for 7 minutes max before responding to questions from our tech panel and from the audience. Both judges and delegates will then vote to identify the winner (votes are weighted 50% judges/ 50% audience).
