Allica Bank backs AFC Broker of the Year Award 2025

The countdown is on for one of the most anticipated events in the asset finance industry calendar: the Asset Finance Connect (AFC) Summer Awards 2025, taking place on Tuesday, 1 July 2025, at the stunning City Central at the Honourable Artillery Company in London.

At the heart of this year’s awards is the prestigious AFC Broker of the Year 2025, proudly sponsored by Allica Bank for the second consecutive year.

Award criteria: recognising the best in the business

The AFC Broker of the Year 2025 award recognises a market-leading broker intermediary operating in the UK or Europe. Nominees must demonstrate outstanding value across their relationships with customers, lenders, staff, and the broader community. Crucially, entries must be supported by lender recommendations, either submitted directly by a lending partner or accompanied by credible endorsements.

To be in the running, brokers must showcase:

A strong track record of customer onboarding, including clear product recommendations and transparent communications.
Expert lender selection, backed by in-depth knowledge of lending appetites and high-quality finance proposals.
Outstanding in-life customer support, including effective interventions and post-transaction care.
Evidence of recent success, whether financial or through positive outcomes for customers.

Spotlight on 2024’s winners

The 2024 awards set a high bar. Gordon Larson of Asset & General Finance Limited was named Small Broker of the Year, while MAF Finance Group took home the Large Broker of the Year title.

The judges praised MAF Finance Group for its national reach, sector-specific expertise, and strong lender relationships. Gordon Larson and his team were recognised for their honest, customer-focused approach and deep sector knowledge, particularly in asset finance for rural and forestry management.
