In a robust start to the year, AerCap signed 112 lease agreements comprising 4 widebody aircraft, 47 narrowbody aircraft, 42 engines, and 19 helicopters. The leasing activity reflects sustained demand across commercial and cargo aviation segments, including significant interest in both traditional and next-generation aircraft. During the quarter, the company completed 49 purchases, adding 13 aircraft to its owned portfolio. These acquisitions include 8 Airbus A320neo Family aircraft, 3 Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, 1 Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, and 1 Embraer E195-E2. Additionally, AerCap purchased 35 engines and 1 helicopter to support growing operational requirements and fleet modernisation initiatives. On the sales front, AerCap executed 42 transactions, selling 29 aircraft, 11 engines, and 2 helicopters. The aircraft sales spanned multiple models, including 13 Airbus A320 Family aircraft, 6 Boeing 737NGs, and widebodies such as a Boeing 777-300ER. The sale activity also included both owned and managed portfolio assets, supporting AerCap’s ongoing asset rotation and capital allocation strategies. Financially, the company secured approximately US$1.5 billion in new financing transactions, reinforcing its capital structure and liquidity position. Additionally, AerCap repurchased approximately 5.7 million shares at an average price of US$97.93 per share, returning US$558 million to shareholders. The Board of Directors also declared a quarterly cash dividend of US$0.27 per ordinary share. AerCap continues to lead the global aviation leasing industry, serving approximately 300 customers worldwide.
